This tea has the ability to make any room burst with the aromas of the
arrival of spring. Rose tea however, is not a new arrival to the world of tea. In China they have been drinking rose scented tea
for millennia. In Britain, rose tea has been a staple of garden parties since the days of Queen Victoria.
In years past, workers on tea plantations would cut rose blossoms from plants that bordered fields and pathways and sprinkle them into the tea. These days rose tea is created by layering rose petals throughout the tea leaves which gives them a delicate and ethereal character. Essential oils are also used to speed up the scenting process while freshly cut flowers are added to the tea for visual effects. The result is a delightfully attractive leaf, accented with rose petals, and a delicate but refreshingly cleansing cup of tea.
