This spoon-shaped stainless steel bombilla has traditionally been used as a straw and strainer to drink Yerba Mate out of hollowed out gourds in South America. Historically made out of natural products, the arrival of the Europeans and their metal-working skills to the Americas introduced superbly ornate silver bombillas and complimentary silver-encased gourds. This is a variation of those decorative bombillas. We also carry bamboo and blown glass bombillas.
